Introduction
What Modunex is, what it is for, and how the platform is structured. Product overview and value proposition.
What is Modunex?
Modunex is a construction management platform that centralizes the technical documentation, financial control, and field operations of a construction project in a single environment. It connects the company office and the on-site team around the same source of truth.
What it is for
Modunex brings together the parts of a project that usually live in separate tools. It centralizes documentation — drawings, BIM models, submittals, RFIs, and correspondence all in one place — and gives you budget control by comparing planned budget against actual costs by fiscal year and cost center. It helps you standardize processes through configurable approval workflows shared across every project, coordinate the team with granular permissions, a shared directory, and per-project assignments, and manage quality with punch lists, completion walks, and on-site inspections backed by GPS and photos.
How the platform is structured
Modunex is organized around a three-level hierarchy — Organization → Company → Project — and groups its features into operational areas: configuration (company and project), the Project Hub for technical documentation, and field management for quality.
See Platform Structure for the full breakdown of the hierarchy.
Value proposition
- Single source of truth for the whole project lifecycle.
- Reusable configuration: define standards once at company level and inherit them in every project.
- No additional software: BIM viewer, document management, and field tools run in the browser.
